Introducing, the LoneStar Coaching Family

Jacob Hanan

My name is Jacob Hanan. I am 32, married to my wonderful wife, Robyn and have a 21 month old son named Ethan.

I have been playing volleyball for as long as I can remember; it's been about 25 years now. I played club for one of the top clubs in California, played all 4 years in High school on Varsity where I started all 4 years and was named MVP of league my Junior and Senior years. I played college volleyball at Newman University where my team was ranked 2nd in the nation and I was ranked in the top 3 in libero position all my years of college. I hold the single season dig record (424) and all-time dig record (1218) at Newman University. I also played on a College National Team that went over-seas to play against national teams such as Aruba, Bahamas, England, and Curacao. We won a gold medal, it was an amazing experience. I played sand in the AVP Next tour which is a lower division of the AVP and was ranked in top ten in Kansas City for grass volleyball.

I've coached club teams in California as well as Men's and Women's High School Varsity programs. 

Volleyball has been around my life for as long as I can remember. My favorite thing to do is to pass the knowledge I have of the sport to others. I love to teach anyone and everyone, young and old, how to play volleyball. I've spent the summer training training in the LoneStar program and coaching LoneStar clinics, Academy and Select league teams.  I've become part of the LoneStar family.  I look forward to working with LoneStar athetes.
