LONESTAR VOLLEYBALL TRAINING & COMPETITION CURRICULUM

With so many options to choose from, parents want to know “what’s the right training for my athlete”, “what’s the next step in training” and “which division should my athlete play in”.  To help answer these questions, LoneStar Volleyball has developed a formal training and competition curriculum which will guide athletes from program to program as their skills and level of competition increase.

Training for all LoneStar programs is conducted by the professional coaching staff of LoneStar Volleyball.  Recommendation for graduation from each program is provided by the senior coaches of each program.

The training curriculum focuses on:

  • Individual goals
  • Development of appropriate motor skills
  • An internationally recognized skill set
  • Sport-specific conditioning and strength training
1 LoneStar Volleyball Academy 1st - 8th grades New to Limited Experience
2 Skills Circuit Training 5th - 12th grades Intermediate to Advanced
3 Camps and Clinics All All skill levels
4 Small Group and/or Private Training All All skill levels
5 High Intensity Summer Camp All Advanced

The competition curriculum develops athletes to:

  • Play the game
  • Love the game
  • Learn to compete
  • Understand the game
1 Frisco Youth Volleyball League - Recreational
1st – 6th grades New to Limited Experience
2 Frisco Youth Volleyball League - Competitive 5th – 8th grades Intermediate to Advanced
3 Frisco Youth Volleyball League - LoneStar Select – Tryouts required 5th – 9th grades Intermediate to Advanced
4 LoneStar Volleyball Club - Tryouts required 9 – 18 years Intermediate to Advanced
