SELECT Division - $300 per athlete* (Individuals or Pre-Formed School Teams***)

For intermediate to advanced athletes. An alternative for club-level athletes in the 5th through 6th grades for the fall. The design of the Select Team is one group of eight to nine athletes with one professional coach. Two of these teams will partner into a training group for practice and match purposes. The number of training groups within the select program will determine the number of different opponents on match days. If the groups are limited, we run high repetition game drills as well as regular game play on our match days within our training groups.

The intent of the Select Team is to build individual volleyball players. We will concentrate on making everyone in the group better at all skills, not just specific positions. This program stresses the importance of the whole player and not the position. When we get into club volleyball programs and competition, the stress is on team success. Here we want to make sure every athlete gets better at everything, not just their job on a team.

  • LoneStar professional coaches will train athletes utilizing LoneStar Volleyball Club’s training program. Click here for Coach Resumes
  • Athletes will try out for positions on teams with 8-9 athletes per team. Athletes are not guaranteed a position on a SELECT team. If an athlete is not selected for a SELECT Division team, they will be placed on a team in the Competitive Division.
  • One practice 2 hours, once a week
  • Athletes must earn court time at matches. All athletes will participate in matches and the tournament

* Volunteer coaches receive a $25 discount for their son/daughter on the same team. One discounted player per coach per team.

* An annual photo ID player card must be purchased as proof of registration. ID cards are $10 for the initial card and $5 for a replacement and will be available on the first game day of each season.

** Equal participation rule assumes that athletes attend and participate in practices and matches

*** Pre-formed school teams – athletes who attend the same school and play on their middle school or high school team. Not intended for previous season club teams or youth league teams or a group of friends wanting to play together.

Notes: Game shirts will be provided annually for returning teams and as needed for new athletes or team transfers. A replacement shirt will be available for purchase.

Athletes must play in their current grade or may play up 1 grade division. Athletes may play on more than 1 team as long as they are not in the same division.

No jewelry allowed on the courts at any time unless medically necessary.

Practice Detail

Practice night, location and time are selected by the coach at the coach’s meeting. We do not assign athletes to teams based on practice night or location, and we do not move players to other teams once the team assignment is made.

Frisco Practices

  • Practice nights vary by season and participating city; Monday through Friday evenings
  • Practice times: 6:00p-9:00p (Practices beginning as early as 3:30p are available at LoneStar Center)

Prosper Practices

  • Practices in Prosper ISD will be available on a limited basis and at an additional fee for excess court rental rates.  Prosper ISD increased their court rental rates, and they exceed the court rental rate allowed in the youth league fees.  Teams who prefer to practice in Prosper will be responsible for the excess court rental rate which will be due prior to the first practice.  Recreational (1 hour):  $101.80 and Competitive (2 hours):  $203.60.  Cash or check payable to FAN will be accepted for the excess court rental fee.
